This bachelor thesis deals with issues of recycled concrete. The theoretical part describes the process of recycling the construction and demolition waste and describes requirements for recycled aggregate and recycled concrete in Czech republic and some of the member states of EU. The experimental part is focused on design of concrete with a substitution of coarse aggregate with a recycled concrete and brick aggregate.

Analýza odpadového hospodářství ve vybrané obci

The presented diploma thesis deals with the analysis of waste management in the city of Brno. The introductory part focuses on legal regulations that are related to the problematics of waste generated in the territory of the municipality. Furthermore, the work presents global, European and national trends in the management of municipal waste, the collection network and the costs of waste management within the Czech Republic. In the practical part are evaluated demographic conditions of the city, fulfillment of selected legal requirements of the relevant legislation, efficiency, collection systems, production of individual wastes and their management, economy of waste management and carbon footprint of wastes. Subsequently, a SWOT analysis of the city's waste management was also done. Based on the results, a discussion was written, and suggested measures were written as well to improve the current waste management system. The performed analyzes are processed in charts and tables for better clarity.

Vliv pandemie COVID19 na produkci a nakládání s komunálním odpadem na příkladu vybraného regionu ČR

The bachelor thesis investigates whether the pandemic of covid-19 had an impact on the production and management of municipal waste in Třebíč region. The theoretical part includes findings from the foreign and local literature on the impact of the pandemic on waste management. Based on the data obtained from ESKO-T for Třebíč region, the research part compares waste production in the pre-pandemic period 2017–2019 with the pandemic years 2020–2021. The thesis takes a closer look to the behaviour of households in the region. Information on households was obtained through a questionnaire survey. The result of the work is that the pandemic had much lower impact on the production of waste in Třebíč region.

Balanced approach in waste management

The thesis deals with the development of a balancing tool for the monitoring of selected waste streams, the related legislation, and the development of techno-economic models for waste treatment plants. In the research part of the thesis, the legislation setting the conditions of waste management is presented, the authorised packaging company EKO-KOM is introduced, including the remuneration calculator created. The practical part of the thesis describes the developed sub-tools and the balancing tool itself, which is the focus of the thesis. Subsequently, the waste stream is analysed and the waste treatment at the reference site is evaluated. Based on the processed data, the practical part leads to the development of techno-economic designs for the plastics processing plant and the energy transition.

This thesis describes the waste management system in Kroměříž. The initial part de-picts the legal requirements in relation to the issue with the production of waste in the city’s area. Furthermore, this thesis also illustrates possible options for waste manage-ment in whole municipalities. The practical part is focused on the disposal of waste in the city Kroměříž, including the economical aspect of the waste management. The re-sulting data have been processed into visual graphs, for an improved overview. To pro-vide perspective on the amount of waste produced, it’s calculated per person a year. Results of the questionnaire, which was questioning the general public about their knowledge and activity regarding waste disposal, are presented visually. At the end are suggestions for improvements, based on the results from the questionnaire.

Waste management within the public infrastructure of the selected municipality

The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of waste management in the selected municipality. The theoretical part contains the basic concepts in the field of waste management, legislation, collection possibilities, methods of waste management and disposal. The practical part deals with the analysis of waste management in the municipality of Pacov. The bachelor thesis specify the amount of the waste produced and compares them in the monitored years. It is also dedicated to working with companies that provide repurchase of electrical equipment. The conclusion is an evaluation of the current state of waste in the monitored area, possible proposals and recommendations for eventually improvement of waste management.

Study of the composition and production of household waste in the Czech Republic

In many countries they set targets formunicipal waste reuse and for reduction of the amount landfilled. To develop effective strategies requires knowledge of reliable information on the composition of municipal waste. At present, however, in most European countries and the rest of theworld use different methods for the analysis of the composition of waste, which vary considerably, not only in scale but also a focus. As a part of this work has been carried out research on total waste production in households with anemphasis on organic waste, using new research methods. It was determined during production regard less of any subsequent disposal method. This research was supplemented by questionnaire surfy focused on household waste management. There search results showed that the average proportion of individual components in household waste is 25% for paper, 7% for plastic, 12%for glass, 2% for metal, 28% for organic waste, 10% for animal waste, another 16% of waste and 1% for.hazardous waste . It was also not found that the production of individual components of household waste differed significantly between various types of dwelling. They have not been demonstrated a signifiant relationship between waste production and number of members in the household. There search results show that, if...
